High Bill Season

High Bill Season is here.

As the July bills (due August 15th ) have just arrived, here are a few things to keep in mind as you are reviewing your bill  –

  1. Billing Period – the billed amounts reflect the usage consumed between the billing dates, not the current month.
  2. Multiple Services – review all services included on your bill.  Your overall bill may be higher due to increased consumption in electric, water AND sewer during the billing period.
  3. How does your July 2017 bill compare to your July 2016 bill?  Comparing July to July is a better gauge of your utility expense than comparing back to back months.
  4. Does your bill indicate a previous balance?  If so, that balance is factored into the total bill due and you are seeing charges for two months usage.

Power Outage – Lightning Strike

****Power Restored!**********

A lightning strike has caused a power failure in the Hauer Addition neighborhood.  Crews have been dispatched and power should be restored within an hour, barring any unforeseen issues.  Approximately 50 residents affected.
